About
Remote working offers a lot of benefits, such as the opportunity to hire from an unlimited talent pool and a higher job satisfaction.
It is more than just bringing your office processes digitally though, and the risks of not doing it well are big.
I built remote teams from scratch, including hiring, onboarding, development, performance management and more.
Hired and onboarded 19 employees successfully, using interview tactics, assignments and onboarding plans focused on remote collaboration. Within 3 weeks employees are up to speed.
Set up multiple business processes focused around performance management, to continuously ensure success around targets. Achieved 53% expansion growth.
Working remotely asks for different processes around employee development and motivation. I worked on this with personal development plans and tactics for remote management, resulting in 14 promotions for reports and 3 for myself.
Culture is even more important in remote teams, as it takes additional effort to feel part of something. I organised 3 culture workshops, with an average evaluation of 9.4 out of 10 and resulting in concrete actions that groups can take to create the culture they want.
